Hunter Biden Bank Records Show $20 Million In Payments

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) released a memo on Wednesday containing bank records for Hunter Biden, affirming that he received more than $20 million from foreign oligarchs while his father was vice president.

Fox News reports that the 19-page memo presents screenshots of bank records, partially redacted, indicating substantial payments from Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings, Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina and Kazakhstani oligarch Kenes Rakishev.

The memo additionally verifies that former Vice President Biden engaged in meetings with Baturina, Rakishev and a Burisma representative during various dinner occasions.

Comer’s memo reads, “Then-Vice President Biden met—in person, for significant periods of time—with those individuals or their representatives. Then-Vice President Biden joined approximately 20 phone calls on speakerphone with Hunter Biden’s foreign business associates and attended dinners with foreign oligarchs who paid huge sums of money to Hunter Biden. Joe Biden, ‘the brand,’ was the only product the Bidens sold.”

After releasing two earlier memos outlining analogous payments to the Biden family from China and Romania, Comer asserts that it’s now established that the Bidens received no less than $20 million from foreign entities and oligarchs.

Comer said in a press release, “During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden sold him as ‘the brand’ to reap millions from oligarchs in Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.”

Highlighted in the third memo are three enterprises established by Hunter Biden and fellow business associates. The committee had subpoenaed records from Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, Rosemont Seneca Thornton LLC and Rosemont Seneca Bohai LLC.

Baturina, the widow of former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, transferred $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton on February 14, 2014. This payment’s authenticity was corroborated by Hunter’s former business partner Devon Archer in his recent testimony before Congress.

The most impactful disclosure from Archer’s testimony was the affirmation that then-Vice President Biden, despite his consistent statements of ignorance regarding his son’s business involvements, was involved in over 20 business-related phone calls with Hunter, as revealed through speakerphone records.

Archer asserts that Joe Biden and his son collaborated to market “the brand” to foreign enterprises, offering political leverage and entry to Vice President Biden’s office in return for substantial financial contributions.
