Schiff Gives Speech Without Suit After Thieves Steal His Clothes

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has become the latest victim of the far-left policies that he endorses, as the disgraced congressman’s car was broken into on Thursday, leaving him without a suit for an important speech.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Schiff was in the Bay area of San Francisco to hold a ritzy fundraiser as part of his efforts to secure the Senate seat formerly held by the late Dianne Feinstein, who passed away while in office in September 2023 at 90 years old.

San Francisco Chronicle reporter Kevin Fagan noted that Schiff told him “he’d been warned to not leave anything in [his] car, but apparently he was in a hurry and didn’t want to be late.”

Unfortunately for Schiff, thieves broke into his car in a city parking garage, stealing all of his clothes and forcing him to attend the event in a long-sleeve shirt and hiking vest, despite the fundraiser requiring formal attire.

“Yes, they took my bags,” the Democrat congressman told the outlet.

During the event, attendees and hosts joked about the burglary, despite it being a serious issue that the average Californian has to deal with every day — so much so that many people are advised to leave their cars empty and the trunks and doors open to prevent a criminal from smashing their windows.

Schiff also dismissed the crime as if it was just a cost of existing in the area, thanking his hosts for allowing him into the event.

This incident comes as San Francisco has been plagued with rising crime in recent years, which increased in the aftermath of the city’s vote to defund the police amid the George Floyd riots. San Francisco Mayor London Breed (D) announced in July 2020 that her administration would be moving a staggering $100 million from the city’s police department’s budget to fund social justice programs.

However, the Democrat mayor later ended up backtracking on her support for the “Defund the Police” movement amid rising crime — declaring in December 2021 that San Francisco needed to become tougher on crime.

“It’s time that the reign of criminals who are destroying our city, it is time for it to come to an end,” Breed said at the time. “And it comes to an end when we take the steps to be more aggressive with law enforcement, more aggressive with the changes in our policies, and less tolerant of all the bulls—t that has destroyed our city, we are going to turn this around.”

Schiff has also supported soft-on-crime policies. Looking at his website, the section about crime is more about reforming the justice system based on racial demographics than it is about actually addressing crime.

“Building safe and secure communities is, at its core, about building trust,” Schiff wrote regarding the issue of crime on his website. “It’s about fixing what’s broken and rooting out the systemic prejudices that tilt the scales of justice against Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous people.”

“It’s going to take all of us to make the dream of a fair, just, and safe society a reality,” the section continued.

Of course, like the rest of the Democrat Party, it is no surprise that Schiff is more concerned about the appearance of the crime statistics than prosecuting criminals and protecting his constituents from crime. As a member of the establishment elite, Schiff is rarely forced to experience the consequences of the soft-on-crime policies he supports — which is why many on social media were essentially happy about his car being broken into, as they believed it was karma.
