Hamas Transformed Hospital Into A Military Facility

On Tuesday, Israel’s Army Radio reported that the manager of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza disclosed to interrogators that Hamas terrorists had taken control of the hospital. The terrorists forced hospital staff to comply with their demands under the belief that the IDF would not strike a medical facility.

The report originated from an interrogation recording of Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Kahlut, the hospital manager.

In the video, Kahlut tells an interrogator that Hamas concealed its fighters in the hospital to avoid IDF attacks. He revealed that certain hospital staff members joined Hamas, turning the hospital into a de facto military facility for the organization. Hamas even went as far as to hide hostages within the hospital and utilized private ambulances for transporting the hostages.

He further charged Hamas leaders with being “cowards” and abandoning Palestinians to fend for themselves. Kahlut said the actions of Hamas fighters resulted in the devastation of their own people.

Breitbart News reported that 70 terrorists within the hospital surrendered to Israel following a firefight last week. Israeli soldiers uncovered weapons inside the hospital, including guns that were discreetly concealed within the NICU.

Kahlut told an Israeli interrogator, “They hide in hospitals because they believe that hospitals are a safe place. They will not be harmed if they are inside a hospital.”

Aside from using the hospital as a base, Hamas also employs distinctive private ambulances, easily distinguishable from those utilized by medical professionals. Kahlut revealed that the ambulances are never volunteered for medical purposes, even in cases of medical emergency.

When asked about his opinion on Hamas after two and a half months of war, Kahlot said, “The leaders of Hamas are cowards. They left us in the field while they were hiding in concealed places. They destroyed us.”

Israel has consistently reported that Hamas exploits hospitals within Gaza for military purposes. Since the war began after Hamas’ deadly attack on October 7, the IDF has carried out missions uncovering several hospitals in Gaza that were all being used by Hamas as shields against the IDF.
