After a whistleblower came forward alleging that the FBI has documents confirming that President Joe Biden was involved in a bribery scheme, Republican lawmakers are subpoenaing the FBI — accusing the bureau of sitting on the damning document.
In a subpoena issued on Wednesday, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) demanded that the FBI produce the unclassified document — noting that it allegedly details a criminal bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national.
The subpoena comes after a whistleblower came forward to make legally protected disclosures to Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-IA) office — revealing that an FBI-generated FD-1023 form exists that describes an alleged arrangement involving money being exchanged between Biden and the foreign national for policy decisions.
Comer made sure to make the subpoena as broad as possible in order to ensure he received the correct document, as he demanded FBI Director Christopher Wray hand over all FD-1023s that contain the word “Biden” — as well as all accompanying attachments and documents.

This news comes as the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee continues to investigate the Biden family’s shady business dealings in an effort to determine whether the president and his family have been compromised by foreign actors, and whether these business schemes constitute a national security threat.
In a press release, Comer noted that the committee had already obtained thousands of pages of financial records related to the Biden family business and their transactions — which led to the discovery of a “deal that resulted in several members of the Biden family and their companies receiving over $1 million in more than 15 incremental payments from a Chinese company through a third party.”
“The information provided by a whistleblower raises concerns that then-Vice President Biden allegedly engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national,” the Republican congressman added. “The American people need to know if President Biden sold out the United States of America to make money for himself. Senator Grassley and I will seek the truth to ensure accountability for the American people.”
Grassley has long been an advocate for whistleblowers, and is taking these new allegations very seriously.
“We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States,” he said.
“What we don’t know is what, if anything, the FBI has done to verify these claims or investigate further,” he added. “The FBI’s recent history of botching politically charged investigations demands close congressional oversight.”
Grassley also wrote a letter to Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland about the issue, which stated: “It has been alleged that the document includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose.”
“Based on the alleged specificity within the document, it would appear that the DOJ and the FBI have enough information to determine the truth and accuracy of the information contained within it,” the letter continued. “However, it remains unclear what steps, if any, were taken to investigate the matter. The significant public interest in assessing the FBI’s response to this information, as well as growing concern about the DOJ and the FBI’s track record of allowing political bias to infect their decision-making process, necessitate exacting congressional oversight.”
“The DOJ and the FBI appear to have valuable, verifiable information that you have failed to disclose to the American people,” Grassley wrote. “Therefore, Congress will proceed to conduct an independent and objective review of this matter, free from those agencies’ influence.”
This is just the latest in a long line of discoveries that prove that the Biden administration has politicized federal agencies, as many critics have pointed out that there is no way the FBI would have hidden a document such as this if it were about former President Donald Trump or other anti-establishment politicians.
Grassley made a similar point during a February testimony during the House Judiciary Committee’s first hearing on the Weaponization of the Federal Government — where he described how high-level investigative decisions at the FBI have been effected by political bias, especially those involving the Biden family.
During his testimony, Grassley asserted that a “triad” of partisan establishment media outlets, the FBI and Democrats had used disinformation from a Russian agent to smear an investigation into Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings.
“In the past few years, I’ve never seen so much effort from the FBI, partisan media and some of my Democratic colleagues to interfere with and undermine very legitimate congressional inquiries,” he said. “It’s become a triad of disinformation and outright falsehoods.”
