Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi received a frosty reception when she and husband Paul arrived at Sunday’s AFC Championship Game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Pelosi is a longtime fan of the NFL franchise, but that did not matter to the throng gathered to witness the showdown. Boos rained down onto the couple as they stepped out of their black SUV and prepared to watch the action.
A security guard attempted to quell the outburst, but to no avail.

It was widely reported that when Paul Pelosi was being treated after being attacked with a hammer in 2022, he asked about his favorite team. After he first regained consciousness, one of his initial questions was about the outcome of a Ravens game.
He told CNN that his first comment to his son after the infamous attack was, “Oh, your mother’s going to be very happy because the Ravens won last night.”
This apparently reassured his wife, who remarked that her husband was coming around because he remembered his football team.
The far-left Nancy Pelosi’s roots in the area, however, did not shield her from the derision of the Ravens’ faithful. She was born and grew up in the area before launching her political career on the West Coast.
When Baltimore and San Francisco squared off in the 2013 Super Bowl, the Democrat attempted to play both sides.
She told reporters “I am rooting for the 49ers, I am not rooting against Baltimore.”
Pelosi has represented the district including San Francisco for decades but was ousted last year from her role as Speaker of the House. This came when Republicans took control of the lower chamber after the 2022 midterm elections.
As for Sunday’s contest, Kansas City raced out to a 10-point halftime lead and held on for a 17-10 victory. This put the defending champion Chiefs and Pfizer spokesman Travis Kelce back in the Super Bowl.
The showdown with the San Francisco 49ers is set for Sunday, February 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. There is no word if Nancy Pelosi will be in attendance.
