Trump’s DOGE Blocks USAID Officials As Headquarters Sealed In Deep State Battle

President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has struck a decisive blow against the Deep State by locking out U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) officials and sealing off its Washington headquarters. The operation has left top bureaucrats cut off from their own systems, halting the agency’s operations entirely.

DOGE agents took control of USAID’s financial and classified systems after a tense standoff with senior officials. Director of Security John Voorhees and another top security officer were placed on leave after refusing to comply with DOGE’s demands for access. Over 600 employees were locked out of their accounts overnight, while the building’s main entrance was taped off the following morning, ensuring no return to the office.

Musk confirmed on X that Trump had fully reviewed the findings and supported shutting down USAID. A White House statement criticized the agency’s history of wasteful spending, pointing to taxpayer dollars being funneled into DEI programs, electric vehicle projects, and global LGBTQ outreach initiatives. Officials argue the agency has been operating with little oversight, misusing billions meant for humanitarian aid.

The investigation into USAID’s finances also revealed troubling ties to Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company linked to Hunter Biden, as well as indirect funding of legal attacks on Trump. Republicans have long questioned the agency’s $40 billion budget, claiming much of the money is lost in bureaucratic waste rather than reaching those in need.

Democratic lawmakers have filed lawsuits against DOGE, accusing it of unlawfully accessing personnel and financial records. Senate Democrats have demanded answers from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, questioning how DOGE agents gained control so quickly and bypassed USAID leadership.

Meanwhile, USAID’s website and public records have been taken offline, and discussions are underway about folding the agency into the State Department. For now, DOGE’s actions have left USAID leadership sidelined, with Trump’s fight against the Deep State taking a clear and dramatic turn.
