Trump-Vance Campaign Targets ‘Party Of Violence’ In New Ad Following Second Assassination Attempt

Just 24 hours after Donald Trump survived a second assassination attempt, the Trump-Vance campaign launched a new ad labeling the Democratic Party as the “party of violence.” The ad singles out Vice President Kamala Harris, President Joe Biden, and other Democratic leaders for their past comments, which the campaign claims have encouraged violence against Trump.

The ad features a 2018 clip of Harris on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she joked about being stuck in an elevator with Trump, asking, “Does one of us have to come out alive?” Biden is also featured in the ad for his repeated remarks about wanting to fight Trump “behind the gym.”

In addition to Harris and Biden, the ad highlights statements made by other prominent Democrats, including Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and former Attorney General Eric Holder. The campaign argues that these remarks have contributed to an environment that fosters hostility toward Trump.

On the same day the ad was released, the Trump-Vance campaign issued a list detailing how Democrats’ rhetoric may have inspired the assassination attempts on Trump. The campaign blames the “incendiary language” used by Democratic leaders for creating a climate of violence.

Left-wing critics, including MSNBC’s MaddowBlog, dismissed the accusations. In a response, the blog downplayed the assassination attempt and defended Harris’ previous statements, calling them justified given Trump’s alleged “threat to democracy.”

The Trump-Vance campaign remains firm in its messaging, aiming to highlight the disparity in how violence is discussed by the media depending on the political party involved.
