Former President Donald Trump is condemning California for passing a new transgender “sanctuary law” — which would allow people to essentially kidnap “gender-confused children” from other states and bring them to California to undergo transgender medical procedures against their parents’ wishes.
The law, which was signed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) at the end of September, authorizes a court to take “temporary jurisdiction because a child has been unable to obtain gender-affirming health care.”
The law also bars the court from “considering the taking or retention of a child from a person who has legal custody of the child, if the taking or retention was for obtaining gender-affirming health care or mental health care.”
We love how the fact check of our MEME (lol) confirms that SB 107 in fact does allow the state of California to legally kidnap children. Thank you for sharing this, @Scott_Wiener! https://t.co/1UygpRyWf3 pic.twitter.com/kwu5qgnlRt

In a video posted on social media, Trump promised that “those involved in such activity will be charged with a host of federal laws, including laws against kidnapping, sex trafficking, child abuse, and the deprivation of civil rights.”
President Trump SLAMS new California ‘sanctuary law’ for gender confused children.
“State law will override their parents rights and allow the children to have barbaric and irreversible sex change operations against the wishes of their parents.”

“California has recently passed depraved new so-called ‘sanctuary’ laws for gender-confused children,” Trump began.
He went on to decry this “horrific new scheme” — explaining that “children from other states can now be taken to California” to receive “barbaric and irreversible” transgender medical treatments.
“It’s almost hard to believe I’m saying this to you,” Trump added. “Our country has gone bad. That this can be happening is not even believable. It’s sick.”
The Republican presidential frontrunner then declared that “the state of California has no right to take your children away from parents and to sterilize them, which is exactly what they’re doing” — vowing to “stop it immediately when I’m elected president, on my first day.”
“Upon my inauguration, we will aggressively challenge these perverted California laws that strip parents of their rights and that encourage minors to be transported across state lines for sexual mutilation purposes,” Trump continued.
He also promised that “those involved in such activity will be charged with a host of federal laws” — including laws prohibiting kidnapping, trafficking and “the deprivation of civil rights.”
“We will not allow this madness to continue. That’s why my administration will prosecute anyone who engages in such crimes,” Trump vowed. “I will protect your youth. I will protect your children. I will protect the right of parents to make decisions on behalf of their children.”
“And I will protect the United States of America, our country that we love, our country that’s in trouble,” he concluded. “We’re in a failing nation. This nation is failing. We’re not going to let it fail any longer. We’re going to make America great again.”
