Tren De Aragua Crimes Reported On By Univision, Telemundo While Mainstream Media Stays Silent

The violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) is wreaking havoc across the U.S., but mainstream media outlets such as ABC, CBS and NBC are conspicuously avoiding coverage of the growing threat. In contrast, Univision and Telemundo have provided in-depth reporting on TdA, shedding light on the gang’s involvement in human trafficking and violent crime in several states.

Univision recently featured an interview with NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny, who described the challenges of dealing with TdA members in New York City. Due to sanctuary city laws, officers are unable to ask about immigration status, making it harder to identify and prosecute TdA operatives. Kenny also shared that members of the gang have been involved in shootings, including a 15-year-old migrant who opened fire in Times Square.

Telemundo followed with its own report, enlisting former FBI agent Daniel Brunner to explain the severity of the threat. Brunner argued that TdA is a more dangerous organization than MS-13, noting that the gang has already established a presence in multiple U.S. states. Both Univision and Telemundo also covered Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s recent designation of TdA as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, a significant development that mainstream outlets have ignored.

The refusal of mainstream media to cover TdA’s rise has led to accusations of political bias. Critics argue that reporting on the gang’s criminal activities could cast the Biden-Harris regime’s immigration policies in a negative light and that the media’s silence is an effort to protect the administration.

As Univision and Telemundo continue to cover the story, the absence of coverage from other major networks raises concerns about the media’s role in shaping public perception of critical issues like immigration and crime.
