Tom Homan Tapped By Trump To Restore Border Security

President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Tom Homan to spearhead efforts to secure America’s borders and enforce immigration laws, marking a decisive step toward reversing policies that critics say have allowed a historic surge of illegal immigration.

Homan, who served as acting ICE director during Trump’s first term, will now take on the role of Border Czar. Trump announced the appointment via Truth Social, praising Homan as a seasoned enforcer and the ideal person to tackle the border crisis.

As Border Czar, Homan will oversee efforts to deport illegal migrants, secure the southern and northern borders, and address gaps in aviation and maritime security. The position will allow Homan to work directly with the Department of Homeland Security and other agencies to execute Trump’s immigration agenda without the delays of Senate confirmation.

The new administration is expected to prioritize deporting the 1.3 million migrants under final deportation orders, along with those convicted of serious crimes. “Their case has been had. They’re supposed to be removed,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), highlighting the need to restore rule of law.

Homan’s appointment has been widely praised by conservatives, who see him as a no-nonsense advocate for border security. His leadership is expected to counter the Biden-Harris administration’s approach, which many argue allowed the border crisis to spiral out of control.
