Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) addressed the Biden Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson this week during her confirmation hearing. Cruz used his time during the hearing to highlight Jacksons incredibly lenient sentencing in cases involving child pornograpy — Jackson cut the recommended sentences in her court by an average of 47% in these cases.
Senator Josh Hawley (R-AR) joined Cruz in noting this pattern. He pointed out that Jackson consistently let criminals involved with child pornography get off easy, reducing sentences by months or even years.
The Texas senator attended Harvard Law School at the same time as Jackson. So this clash between two Harvard lawyers on two different sides of the political spectrum was even deeper than some thought.
Jackson repeatedly gave the shortest sentences permitted by law to some of the worst criminals in America. This was done while she served on the D.C. District Court, which typically has liberal judges anyway. So, she is even more favorable to the criminals involved with child pornography than even the very liberal judges on the very liberal court.
Jackson said that she takes these crimes seriously. But, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like her record corroborates this statement. And, thanks to Sen. Cruz, the entire country now has a better understanding of the extremist that Biden is trying to install on the U.S Supreme Court.
