Sen. Grassley Accuses FBI Director Of Politicization, Demands Resignation

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has demanded the resignation of FBI Director Christopher Wray, accusing him of presiding over a politicized agency that has undermined public trust. In a detailed letter, Grassley outlined Wray’s failures and called for new leadership at the bureau.

Grassley’s critique centered on the FBI’s handling of investigations involving Hunter Biden and former President Donald Trump. The senator accused the bureau of suppressing evidence against the Bidens while aggressively pursuing Trump. “The FBI under your watch has shattered the public’s confidence,” Grassley wrote.

The letter also condemned the FBI’s promotion of the Steele dossier, which falsely alleged collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia. Grassley described the bureau’s actions as “Orwellian conduct” that betrayed its commitment to impartial justice.

Grassley highlighted whistleblower allegations that FBI employees avoided accountability for misconduct by resigning or retiring. He also criticized the bureau’s failure to vet Afghan refugees, citing potential security risks.

President-elect Donald Trump has echoed Grassley’s concerns, nominating Kash Patel to replace Wray. Trump has called the FBI’s actions under Wray an abuse of power, particularly the raid on Mar-a-Lago.

Grassley’s call for reform underscores growing dissatisfaction with the FBI’s leadership. As the new administration takes shape, pressure for accountability and transparency within the bureau is expected to intensify.
