Rising Tensions: Kim Promises Harshest Anti-US Policies

Kim Jong Un announced his intent to introduce the “toughest” measures against the United States during a five-day Workers’ Party of Korea gathering. The move underscores North Korea’s deteriorating relations with the West as President-elect Donald Trump prepares to assume office.

Kim accused the U.S. of building a “nuclear military bloc for aggression” with its allies in Japan and South Korea, describing America as a “reactionary state” committed to anti-communist policies. The official Korean Central News Agency reported that North Korea plans aggressive countermeasures but withheld details.

The pledge comes amid growing concerns over North Korea’s alignment with Russia in the Ukraine war. Pyongyang has reportedly deployed thousands of troops to assist Moscow, raising fears about potential nuclear and missile technology exchanges.

Western officials have condemned the alliance, warning of serious risks to global stability. In a joint statement, South Korean and European Union leaders called for vigilance against any collaboration that might strengthen North Korea’s military capabilities.

Kim’s regime also criticized South Korea’s leadership following recent political turmoil. State media claimed martial law and impeachment proceedings exposed weaknesses in South Korea’s governance and predicted a bleak future for President Yoon Suk-Yeol.
