In a surprising turn of events, Nicole Shanahan, running mate to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has suggested that they may exit the presidential race and endorse President Donald Trump instead. In an interview on Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu, Shanahan claimed that the Democratic Party has actively sabotaged their campaign, making it impossible to compete fairly.
Shanahan outlined the two options they are currently considering: staying in the race and forming a new party, or dropping out to avoid splitting the vote and inadvertently helping Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz. “We walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump … and we explain to our base why we’re making this decision,” Shanahan said.
She also detailed the sabotage efforts she claims the campaign has faced, including shadowbanning, exclusion from debates, and even planting insiders within their campaign to create legal complications. According to Shanahan, the Clear Choice PAC, a Democratic-aligned group, spent millions with the explicit goal of turning their campaign into a spoiler rather than a legitimate contender.
The suggestion of backing Trump is significant, as it reflects a growing belief among some Kennedy supporters that aligning with Trump is the best path forward. Shanahan acknowledged that the decision is not easy but argued that the future of the country would be more secure under Trump’s leadership than under Harris.
The Harris campaign, however, has rejected any notion of engaging with the Kennedy-Shanahan ticket, dismissing them as a “MAGA-funded fringe candidate” seeking political leverage.
As the election approaches, this potential shift in alliances could reshape the dynamics of the race and lead to major realignments among independent and conservative voters.
