New York Public School Spent Over $200,000 on Drag Queens

In New York, taxpayers are funding drag queens to come and shake their stuff in front of school children.

Some parents are furious after finding out their children’s schools have hosted sexualized drag queens without parental consent or even knowledge.

Drag Story Hour NYC raked in a whopping $46,000 just in the month of May alone. This non-profit brings in men dressed as women for children as young as 3. They perform in publicly funded places such as schools and libraries.

Since the beginning of 2022, the New York-based drag group has done 49 drag performances, with 34 being in public schools for kindergarten through high school students.

While some parents fully support their children being subjected to sexual content, other parents are furious over the incidents taking place.

“I can’t believe this. I am shocked,” a New York mom said, whose son attends a Manhattan middle school. “I would be furious if he was exposed without my consent. This is not part of the curriculum.”

A total of over $200,000 has been given to the drag group since 2018, all of which is taxpayer money. The topic is polarizing, but surprisingly, at least one New York city council member is pushing back.

“I am considering pulling funding to any school in my district that is implementing Drag Queen Story Hour,” said City Council member Vickie Paladino (R-Queens). “We are taking hundreds of thousands of dollars out of the pockets of hardworking New York taxpayers … to fund a program teaching little children about their gender fluidity? Not. On. My. Watch.”

The money for the drag queens came from the discretionary budget the city council members put together.

Some of the incidents included 2nd graders traveling on a field trip with a drag queen dressed in a bra and bottoms. Middle schoolers had an encounter on how to apply drag makeup in school. Another drag person wore a shirt with a propaganda message on it saying “I Don’t Want to Look or Be Cis” in front of very young kids.

The examples go on and on, but one thing is for sure, despite pushback, it appears that drag queens infiltrating public spaces with children present only seem to be increasing. As the public-school systems continue to decline, parents need to make a choice: find alternative schooling or subject their children to sexualized agendas that go way beyond their comprehension.
