Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has added his voice to a rising outcry over unexplained drone activity in the skies of several states, demanding federal officials take the issue seriously.
Hogan revealed on Friday that he witnessed what he described as “dozens of large drones” flying over his Maryland home. “Last night, beginning at around 9:45 pm, I personally witnessed (and videoed) what appeared to be dozens of large drones… I observed the activity for approximately 45 minutes,” Hogan wrote in a post on X.

Residents in states like New Jersey and Connecticut have reported similar sightings since mid-November. While these incidents have unnerved communities, the Biden administration has downplayed their significance. White House National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby said Thursday that the sightings likely involve aircraft lights mistaken for drones.
Hogan called the government’s response inadequate, accusing officials of negligence. “The government has the ability to track these from their point of origin but has mounted a negligent response,” he wrote. Hogan emphasized that residents have every right to demand answers, particularly as federal agencies deny any knowledge of the drones’ origins or operators.
This is not the first time drones have stirred unease along the Eastern Seaboard. Late last year, drones reportedly swarmed Langley Air Force Base in Virginia for weeks, moving at high speeds and altitudes of up to 4,000 feet before disappearing.

Hogan urged bipartisan action to address the growing concerns. “The American people deserve answers and action now,” he stated, reflecting widespread frustration with the lack of transparency.
With more sightings occurring, the mystery surrounding these drones remains unsolved, fueling speculation about their purpose and potential risks.
