Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss has warned that the UK and European Union are heading toward an economic crisis if they continue their current policies. In an interview with Fox Business, Truss outlined the failures of leftist-globalist agendas, such as high taxes, overregulation, and excessive dependence on China, urging Western nations to adopt the successful economic policies of President Donald Trump.
Truss cited the UK’s skyrocketing energy prices and the highest taxes in seven decades as signs of an economy on the brink. She pointed out that while taxes keep rising, government revenue remains stagnant, leading to economic stagnation and looming financial collapse. “If Europe doesn’t change, if the UK doesn’t change, we are facing decline,” Truss warned.

She credited President Trump for demonstrating a more effective path forward, particularly through deregulation and energy independence achieved through fracking. Truss noted that Trump’s firm stance against China also provided a stronger foundation for the U.S. economy. “President Trump is showing the way,” she said, calling for Europe and the UK to adopt similar policies before it’s too late.
In Truss’s view, Trump’s second term would “turbo charge” the U.S. economy, putting pressure on Europe to rethink its approach. She stressed that the will of the people in Europe and the UK, as seen in the Brexit referendum, has been thwarted by powerful elites who continue to push for policies that harm economic growth.
.@realDonaldTrump's victory wasn't just a win for the people over the elite.
It was a win for the US economic model over European stagnation.

Truss also criticized her short tenure as Prime Minister, suggesting that it was sabotaged by Britain’s financial class and bureaucratic forces opposed to her pro-growth, tax-cutting agenda. Despite gaining Conservative Party support, Truss was ousted in favor of Rishi Sunak, who had been rejected by voters in previous elections. “Just like America, we have an overpowered bureaucracy,” Truss remarked, calling for political reform to reduce the influence of unelected officials.
Looking toward the future, Truss noted that although the UK and Europe are still years behind the U.S. in embracing economic freedom, the success of radical reforms in Argentina under Javier Milei shows that transformative change is possible, even in difficult circumstances.
