Harry Potter School Of Magic’: Democrat Rep. Moskowitz Rips ICC Over ‘Totally Political’ Israeli Arrest Warrants

In a scathing rebuke of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) compared the court to the fictional “Harry Potter School of Magic” during a Sunday interview on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream.

Moskowitz’s comments come in the wake of the ICC’s filing of arrest warrant applications for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes during Israel’s war against the Hamas terrorist organization.

“The ICC is irrelevant. They have no jurisdiction,” Moskowitz said. “We might as well call them the Harry Potter School of Magic. They’re irrelevant because Israel is not a party to their treaty.”

The Florida Democrat criticized the ICC for hypocrisy, pointing out the court didn’t go after other countries being accused of acts as bad or worse than what Israel is being targeted over.

Moskowitz stressed that Israel, like Syria and China, is not subject to the ICC’s jurisdiction, making the court’s actions against the Jewish state “totally political.”

As the conflict in the Middle East continues, it will almost certainly play a large roll in the upcoming presidential elections where former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are already coming down on different sides of the debate.
