The Parental Rights in Education Act is on its way to Gov. Ron DeSantis’ desk and he has pledged to sign it. The measure would make it illegal to teach sexual and gender ideology to kids in grades Pre-K through third grade. To think of the awful tragedy of tiny children not being exposed to such things without parental engagement.
According to the reports, Gov. Ron DeSantis’ proposed “bathroom law” does not include the term “gay” once and he has been keen to bring this out when questioned about it. The mainstream media has dubbed it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which is an entirely inaccurate representation of what it says and does. Because everything is dumb, Disney Corp. has now gotten involved, openly condemning the law, even though there has been little indication of any genuine pushback. In other words, it looks like this is just another wholly fabricated story, promoted by a press that is determined to groom youngsters. Regardless, Disney CEO Bob Chapek received a phone call from DeSantis on Thursday after requesting one.
Moreover, this is a replay of the Georgia saga. Companies raced to oppose a version of the legislation that didn’t even exist, only for it to be enacted nonetheless. People have no patience with these awakened businesses trying to force their crazy beliefs down the throats of ordinary Americans. It is understandable that, for better or worse, Republicans are often the party of big business. If it makes me a populist compared to others, then be it.
However, there is no need for a teacher to discuss “gender ideology” and sexuality with a tiny kid and any adult who does so should be investigated for being a molester. Parents will not stand by and watch while lunacy is normalized and forced on their children. Some Republicans may tremble in the face of the LGBTQ+ whatever lobby on these topics, but DeSantis will not. That is the type of leadership that the Republican Party sorely needs more of.
