Democratic Congressmen Removed From Committees

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) have been booted off of their committees and the crying won’t stop.

As a result, Schiff went on MSNBC to complain about how “horrible” House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is.

Rep. Schiff was the orchestrator of the Mueller Report, which accused former President Donald Trump of colluding with Russia in the 2016 election. Of course, Schiff was caught in a lie. Accordingly, Rep. Swalwell was caught having relations with a Chinese spy.

Consequently, McCarthy outlined his reasons for booting the congressmen from the House Intelligence Committee. “If Eric Swalwell cannot get a security clearance in the private sector, there’s no reason why he should be given one to be on Intel or Homeland Security,” he said.

In response to Rep. Schiff, McCarthy said “You have Adam Schiff, who had lied to the American public time and again. We will not allow him to be on the Intel Committee either.”

Schiff was the first Democrat to file articles of impeachment against former president Donald Trump after the events that ensued on Jan 6.

Republicans grew infuriated with the representative since they felt Donald Trump was not responsible for the events on that day.

Schiff’s first impeachment of Trump came after he accused the former president of “leveraging U.S. military aid to pressure Ukrainian leaders to investigate his political adversaries.”

The House speaker rebutted by saying, “He put America — for four years — through an impeachment that he knew was a lie.”

In response to Rep. Swalwell (D-CA), he was caught having relations with a Chinese spy who had donated to his 2014 campaign. The relationship was brought to life in 2020 when Axios reported on it.

The speaker stated, “If you got the briefing I got from the FBI, you wouldn’t have Swalwell on any committee.”

McCarthy is also removing Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Speaker McCarthy has received much criticism for removing the three top Democrats from their committees. However, when Democrats had the majority, former speaker Nancy Pelosi removed two Republicans from their committees.
