In complete defiance of CNN’s new CEO Chris Licht’s order to be less egregious in their partisanship and focus more on factual journalism, Don Lemon went toe-to-toe with a guest in defending President Joe Biden’s recent demonization of “MAGA Republicans.”
The host of CNN’s “Don Lemon Tonight” argued with conservative commentator Scott Jennings, barely allowing Jennings to get a word in.
In a week of speeches, the President has demonized Trump supporters, calling them domestic terrorists and a threat to democracy.
Lemon aggressively defended Biden calling Trump Supporters “semi-fascist.” He asked Jennings at one point, “Where’s the lie?”
Jennnings pushed back, saying Biden’s remarks are an effort to energize the radical left. But Lemon insisted Biden was unifying America with his demonization of millions of Americans.
“Can the unifying message be that some of what he’s saying is true, because there are a lot of people, I got to tell you, Scott, a lot of folks would go, where’s the lie?” he argued.
After Biden’s September 1 speech, Lemon wrote in a tweet “President Biden delivered a sharp message to Republicans tonight saying, “They live not in the light of truth but in the shadow of lies.”

“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundation of our Republic,” Biden said during his unhinged speech. “MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution.”
His speech was touted by The White House as a speech of unity under the title of “Soul of the Nation.”
