Biden Claims Military Advisors Never Told Him To Keep Troops In Afghanistan, But Multiple Reports Say Otherwise

In an interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News, Biden completely denied all claims that blamed Biden for not listening to the advice of his top military commanders regarding the military withdrawal in Afghanistan. As militant Taliban claim control over Afghanistan, Biden continuously insists that his top military commanders not advise him to keep at least 2,500 troops.

Stephanopoulos shared the complete unedited transcript of the interview. When he told Biden that his top Military advisors wanted him to keep at least 2,500 troops in the country, Biden immediately exclaimed that it was not valid. When Stephanopoulos wanted to confirm if the military advisors did not tell him to do so, Biden’s reply was again insistent that none of them told him so and that all of them were on board with having the entire military withdraw from the country.

Although Biden has been defending his decision of military withdrawal by stating that the situation was inevitable, he is now saving his face by blaming the top army brass. But interestingly, some reports claim otherwise. According to a report first published in April in the Wall Street Journal, when Biden ordered the complete military withdrawal, he did so by completely over-ruling the military brass.

As stated in the report, Biden opted to follow through with Trump’s negotiation with the Taliban. US military troops would be withdrawn entirely from the country as long as the Taliban’s kept their end of the bargain and worked with the Afghan government to establish Democracy. In doing so, Biden ignored the advice of General Frank McKenzie, head of US forces in the Middle East; General Austin Scott Miller, commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan; and General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. They wanted Biden to keep at least 2,500 troops in Afghanistan to mitigate the risk to Afghan forces and the US embassy. According to the journal Vice President Kamala Harris is equally complicit and played a crucial role in the withdrawal decision.

So, in conclusion, we understand that Biden’s foolishness has led Afghanistan under the occupation of the Taliban, resulting in the shameful defeat of the US. Biden is now finding mules to save his face, and despite clear reports, he blatantly denies all claims against him.
